FUTURE FIRES AND MUNITIONS SUMMIT

The United States is a world leader in the global
output of munitions, manufacturing 600,000+
artillery shells annually alongside small-arms and
civilian ammunition totals. The States also have
the largest defense manufacturing industry in
the world, producing high volumes of advanced
precision-guided munitions, missiles and other
military hardware, ensuring the U.S. Department
of War is the most well-equipped military in the
world.
IDGA’s Future Fires & Munitions Summit, taking
place this January 20-21 in Arlington, Virginia,
brings the fires community together to discuss
the latest innovations and modernizations in
cannon artillery, mortars, long-range systems,
and the munitions required. The two-day summit
will include leaders from the Army, Marine Corps,
industry and academia, all comitted to solving the
challenges of keeping up with rapidly evolving
technology and the need for common software and
fire support systems.
Before the conference, IDGA has created the
“Future Artillery Market Report 2026-2030: United
States” which takes readers through the state of
munitions in the U.S., and ongoing programs within
the DoW. First, the report will take a step back and
observe some general trends in the munitions and
fire industries around the world.
